I’ve wanted to give up more times than I can count.
Those closest to me know the toll that this journey of helping those in addiction find recovery has taken on me, but it’s in the valleys of this life that you find yourself.
You find out what you are made of. You realize that you were so much stronger than you could have ever imagined. You find out that sometimes your faith is all you have and all at the same time that it’s the only thing you will ever really need. And with every set back, ill word spoken, barrier or blow I have resolved to get back up and keep going. Because frankly…
…people are dying every single day.
And I truly believe that God has called me to it and therefore will see me through it.
I am resilient.
If you currently find yourself in a valley, you and I were never meant to stay there. So get up, don’t give up, seek His face and keep going. Be resilient because His word declares that we can be confident of this,”that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ.” -Philippians 1:6
